A lot of banks and financial organizations recruit M Com graduates. The basic pay starts at Rs 20,000 and goes up to Rs 30,000 when you join a public sector organization. Additionally, a lot of perks, such as travel allowance, medical allowance and gratuity funds are provided in this sector. The private sector pays more than the government sector. However, you won’t get as much perks as the former.
Educational Opportunities
IFRS: International Finance Reporting Standards are financial statements that the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) issues. These statements guide accountants how to keep and report accounts. Certificate courses are available in IFRS to give them a detailed outlook.
Chartered Financial Analyst: This program can be taken up by students who have a good background in finance and investment. At the end of the course, students are awarded ‘CFA Charter’. The course is stretched over four years.
Company Secretaries: This course prepares you for the Company Secretary position. This job requires you to manage the company’s administration with respect to legal requirements. There are three stages for this course where one has to go through 15 months of practical training.
